• Slogging Forward

Sorry for the inactivity.  Now that the Cavs have been thoroughly defeated I can resume my normally sports-free life.

    • I’ll be posting a couple pics of my commission I’ve been working on Monday.
    • The painting list will get overhauled yet again since I realized Historicon is only 5.5 weeks away!
    • Been obsessing over Later Swiss, Burgundian Ordonnance, Koryo Korean, and Post-Mongol Samurai-God help me…I want them all  composed of Mike’s Models…

Played two great games with Philistinejim yesterday.  Alexander vs. Darius, and Pyrros vs Antigos Gonatas.  Great battles!  I’ll see if he can send me pics so I can give some details.

  • Quick W.I.P

Just a quicky. An Aquilifer and some Kyreneans.

AB Miniatures Aquilifer in progress. Being specially painted for the “Fortune’s Favorite” event at Historicon. As with my other Romans: Non-Metallic-Metal style

My new favorite miniatures line: Pass-O-the-North. I used the Foundry 3-Step method with them. These guys paint up like 25mm figs. I can’t say enough great things about them. So much detail. For instance, look above and you’ll notice that I was able to detail the knuckles of the right hand!

That’s it for now. Another update coming soon!

  • With the influx of some new armies I figured I would revise the list.

    • Got to finish elements for the Macedonian BBDBA army and morphing options. BBDBA will take care of most of the morphing options, but I am especially eager to work on the Later Ptolemaic list II/20. (d) (Achillas) to fight my Marians in Alexandria.
    • 72 Medieval foot for a commission (Yes, I do commissions now).
    • I/56. (b) Kyrenean Greek. Culled from the Pass-O-The North Carthaginian range.
    • Finish my Early Crusaders and paint a Turkish army for campaign with the guys from I.H.O.G
    • Finish the two elements of Triarri I got to morph my Marians into Polybian Roman.
    • II/32. Later Carthaginian for the above Punic War campaign. I’m going with Pass’ O the North for these figs. Looking to purchase them at Historicon.
    • III/20b Early T’ang-Courtesy of Paul H. of Seattle. To be finished in time for Fall-In, where we will meet for battle.
    • Three yet-to-be-decided Biblical/Chariot age armies.

My Macedonian camp is just about finished. I promise pictures tonight of all works-in-progress.
